Venue and travel information


 
Due to high security alert in France, you might be asked for an ID at the entrance of the conference venue and your bag might be inspected by security personnel

the venues of the main conference (April 15-17) and the workshops (April 18) are different, although very close to each other. This page provides information on how to reach them.



Main conference venue (april 15-17)
 
The main conference will be held at the
INALCO (Institut national des langues et civilisations orientales), in the 13th arrondissement in the southern part of Paris. Here is the exact address of the main conference venue:

The INALCO can be reached by metro 14, RER-C, bus 89 (get off at the stop Bibliothèque François Mitterrand) or by bus 27, 62, 64,132 (get off at the stop Patay-Tolbiac). More information on how to reach the conference venue is available below.



Workshops venue (april 18) 
  
The two workshops will be held at the University of Paris Diderot, in the 13th arrondissement in the southern part of Paris. Here is the exact address of the workshops venue:

or 16 rue Françoise Dolto, 75013 Paris
   building:  Bâtiment de la Halle aux Farines, Hall C
   room:  418C for the semantics workshop (4th floor)

Here are some instructions on how to get to the venue of either the main conference or the workshops (which are indeed very close to each other):

From Gare du Nord:
  • at the station, take the metro 4 towards Mairie de Montrouge and get off at Chatelet
  • at Chatelet, take the metro 14 towards Olympiades and get off at Bibliothèque François Mitterrand
  • from Bibliothèque François Mitterrand, you can walk to the conference venue (see maps above)
From Gare Montparnasse:
  • from the station, walk to Place du 18 Juin 1940 
  • at the square, take bus 89 towards Porte de France and get off at Bibliothèque François Mitterrand
  • from Bibliothèque François Mitterrand, you can walk to the conference venue (see maps above)
From Gare de Lyon:
  • at the station, take the metro 14 towards Olympiades and get off at Bibliothèque François Mitterrand
  • from Bibliothèque François Mitterrand, you can walk to the conference venue (see maps above) 
From Charles de Gaulle Airport:
  • at the airport, take the RER B towards Massy-Palaiseau and get off at Saint-Michel Notre-Dame
  • at Saint-Michel Notre-Dame, take the RER C towards Pont de Rungis Aeroport d'Orly and get off at Bibliothèque François Mitterrand
  • from Bibliothèque François Mitterrand, you can walk to the conference venue (see maps above)
From Orly Airport:
  • at the airport, take the shuttle to the RER C station Pont de Rungis Aeroport d'Orly
  • at Pont de Rungis Aeroport d'Orly, take the RER C towards Pereire and get off at Bibliothèque François Mitterrand
  • from Bibliothèque François Mitterrand, you can walk to the conference venue (see maps above)
