We invite abstracts bearing on such long-distance effects from various perspectives. Presentations are invited to address (but are not limited to) the following questions and topics:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Vowel neutrality: what makes a vowel neutral?\n<li>Typology: what is a possible harmony system?\n<li>Variation in harmony\n<li>Harmony and (morphological\/prosodic) domains\n<li>Disharmony and antiharmony in harmony systems\n<li>Exceptions in harmony\n<li>Approaches to harmony: representational, non-representational, experimental\n<li>\u201cUnnatural\u201d constraints on harmony\n<li>Phonetic basis of harmonic phenomena\n<li>Spreading vs. agreement\n<li>Differences\/similarities between vowel and consonant harmony\n<li>Experimental approaches to harmony\n<\/ul>\n<p><font color=\"gray\"><\/p>\n<h2>abstract submission<\/h2>\n<p>The same abstract may not be submitted to both the main colloquium and a workshop.<\/p>\n<p>No abstract may be longer than 2 pages (A4 or letter size) with 1in margins, set single spaced in a 12pt font. Abstracts must be anonymous, self references should be avoided. Please make sure that there is no indication of the authors\u2019 identity in the file submitted.
