{"id":384,"date":"2018-10-20T16:27:22","date_gmt":"2018-10-20T14:27:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/glowlinguistics.org\/42\/?page_id=384"},"modified":"2019-05-01T11:46:14","modified_gmt":"2019-05-01T09:46:14","slug":"other-local-info","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/glowlinguistics.org\/42\/local-info\/other-local-info\/","title":{"rendered":"Practical info for participants"},"content":{"rendered":"<h5><strong>Handouts, Posters, and Talks<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>For printing handouts, we expect about 150 participants for the <a href=\"https:\/\/glowlinguistics.org\/42\/overall-programme\/\">main session<\/a>,\u00a0 80 participants for <a href=\"https:\/\/glowlinguistics.org\/42\/workshops\/w1-anaphora\/\">Workshop 1<\/a>, and 60 participants each for <a href=\"https:\/\/glowlinguistics.org\/42\/workshops\/workshop-2-rules-and-learning-strategies-in-the-acquisition-of-signed-and-spoken-phonologies\/\">Workshop 2<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/glowlinguistics.org\/42\/workshops\/may11\/\">Workshop 3<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Please also send us your a link to the softcopy of your handout\/poster\/presentation to [glow42oslo@gmail.com], and we can add links in the on-line programme. If you cannot store it elsewhere (e.g., on Dropbox or your own personal webpage), we can upload it for you and link it.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>For presenters of the main session<\/em><\/strong>:\u00a0 The ideal talk is 45 minutes followed by a 15-minute discussion. There will be a computer and projector in the room, if you wish to present a slideshow you can bring your USB stick, your laptop, or you may upload it in the 15-20 minutes before the morning session or afternoon session begins the day of your presentation. We will not be accepting slideshows via email. Please notify us in advance if you need any further device.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>For poster presenters<\/em><\/strong>: There will be lightning talks at the beginning of both poster sessions. Here authors of posters may present their main claims in no more than 2 minutes. We propose that each poster is introduced by only one of its authors. Poster presenters can send 1 or 2 slides in A4 size landscape in PDF format to Yvonne van Baal in pdf format by <strong>April 30th<\/strong>.\u00a0 Posters can be both A1 size (59.4&#215;84.1 cm \/ 23.338&#215;33.110 inch) or A0 size (84.1&#215;118.9 cm \/ 33.110&#215;46.811 inch). Please note that A0-size posters can only be in portrait orientation (otherwise they won\u2019t fit the poster boards).<\/p>\n<h5><strong>On Campus Printing Services\u00a0<\/strong><\/h5>\n<div>The University of Oslo has a print center on Blindern campus which can print both handouts and posters: <i><a href=\"https:\/\/trykkeriet.uio.no\/login.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2fcustomize.aspx%3ftid%3d85&amp;tid=85\">Reprosentralen<\/a><\/i><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><strong>Step 1:<\/strong>\u00a0Create a profile and log in.<\/div>\n<div><strong>Step 2:<\/strong>\u00a0Choose the type and number of the printed\u00a0product from the menu.<\/div>\n<div><strong>Step 3:\u00a0<\/strong>Pay. An email confirmation will be received once the payment is through.<\/div>\n<div>A new email is issued when the product is ready to be collected physically from Reprosentralen&#8217;s customer reception, which is located at the campus (Building:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.uio.no\/english\/about\/getting-around\/areas\/blindern\/\">Kristian Ottosens Hus<\/a>).<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><b>NOTE:\u00a0<\/b>Reprosentralen normally requires 3 full working days to assure delivery on time.<\/div>\n<h5><\/h5>\n<h5><strong>Printing Services Outside Campus<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>For printing services outside campus, we recommend Copycat Sentrum at R\u00e5dhusgata 17. They generally deliver on the same day. In addition to Frederikke, SV-kaf\u00e9en is also a good option.
