The 46th Generative Linguistics in the Old World (GLOW)<\/strong> Colloquium will take place at the University of Vienna<\/strong> and the University of Graz<\/strong> on 11th<\/sup>-15th<\/sup> April, 2023<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The main colloquium<\/strong> focuses on redundancy and deficiency<\/a> in grammar. The goal is to bring together researchers investigating various notions and applications of redundancy and deficiency in phonology, morphology, syntax, and semantics, as well as their relevance in language variation, change and acquisition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the main session, there will be two thematic workshops<\/strong>, one on non-automatic alternations in phonology<\/a> and one on mismatched pronouns<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the main colloquium, which will include a poster session as well, scholars are invited to submit unpublished papers discussing redundancy and deficiency within all areas of generative linguistics. Submissions on phonological topics are especially welcome. The two workshops have their own topics and expect papers relating to them. We encourage participants to attend in person in Vienna and Graz. We are aware that due to the pandemic situation this is not always possible, so GLOW46 will take place partly in a hybrid fashion. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
