{"id":38,"date":"2022-06-18T07:12:11","date_gmt":"2022-06-18T07:12:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/glowlinguistics.org\/46\/?page_id=38"},"modified":"2023-04-12T07:40:15","modified_gmt":"2023-04-12T07:40:15","slug":"pumpglow","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/glowlinguistics.org\/46\/pumpglow\/","title":{"rendered":"PUMP@GLOW"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>GLOW 46&nbsp;is proud to host a&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/genderinlinguistics.org\/pump\" target=\"_blank\">Pop-Up Mentoring Program<\/a>&nbsp;(PUMP) event.&nbsp;PUMP&nbsp;(sponsored by the LSA&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/genderinlinguistics.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Committee on Gender Equity<\/a>) provides on-site, one-off mentoring meetings at linguistics conferences around the world.&nbsp;PUMP&nbsp;matches one or more mentees with mentors who can provide quick but personalized career advice to linguists at any stage, in any location, and in any career: anyone can be a mentee or mentor, the more the merrier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The PUMP event at GLOW 46 will take place during lunch on <strong>April 13<\/strong> at room <strong>ROM1<\/strong>, court 8 (<a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/3ubsAUtAEncRGNK5A\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/3ubsAUtAEncRGNK5A\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Google Maps Link<\/a>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can register as a mentee&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSdurfdZOPo-nHPd1uuRPQMvO0FiyJkfIAM1to8G-65ZoveKzw\/viewform?usp=sf_link\" target=\"_blank\">HERE<\/a>, and as a mentor&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLScpKHmggqLARUj7Y25fyh339IRoEu1mzF17g8aqTTPpVRAKZA\/viewform?usp=sf_link\" target=\"_blank\">HERE<\/a>. We almost always have a lot of mentee interest so we especially encourage relatively senior linguists to apply as mentors if they think they can. The deadline for registering as a mentee or a mentor for this event is&nbsp;<strong>April 3, 2023<\/strong>.&nbsp; After you register, you will receive an email matching you with your mentor or mentee, with details about how to meet.
