How to get to theCentre for Languages and Literature

The Centre for Languages and Literature (SOL-centrum) is located near the University Library (UB). You can enter the Centre from the University Library Park, from Sölvegatan, or from Helgonavägen, which you can see if you click on the link below. It will take you approximately 15 minutes to walk there from the train station. There are taxis lined up outside the train station if you prefer not to walk, carry a lot of luggage, or are for other reasons unable to walk. If your taxi driver wants an exact address, please say Finngatan 1. Then you just need to find one of the entrances, which should not be difficult at all.

How to find your way inside the Centre for Languages and Literature

The Centre for Languages and Literature consists of three old buildings that have been connected by a foyer and a library to now form one fairly large compex. The GLOW colloquium will take place in the main lecture hall, which is located in the Humanities building. The rooms where the GLOW workshops are to be held are located in the the Humanities Buildning (Humanisthuset) and the Linguist Building (Lingvisthuset).

Two workshops take place in H435. The H stands for Humanisthuset (see the map above), that is, the same building as the one in which the main lecture hall is located. The 4 in 435 indicates that the room is on floor 4.

The remaining two workshops take place in L201, where the L stands for Lingvisthuset, and the 2 in 201 suggests floor 2.

When walking from Humanisthuset to Lingvisthuset, for instance, you may not even notice that you move from one building to another, since they are connected. Don't hesitate to ask for directions/help if you should get lost. People at Lund University are generally friendly and quite good at English.
