GLOW (Generative Linguistics in the Old World) is an international organization, founded in 1977 and based in Europe. Its goal is to further the study of Generative Grammar by means that facilitate communication among practitioners of Generative Grammar throughout the world. For this purpose, the annual conference represents the main channel for disseminating and discussing ideas, theories and state of the art research.
To give a more detailed insight into the ideals (and controversies) behind the founding of GLOW, check out the GLOW website for some of the discussions from the first issue of the GLOW Newsletter.
