By Plane
The Frankfurt Airport (IATA-Code: FRA) is one of the biggest airports in the world and lies conveniently just outside of Frankfurt. You can get into the city by train.
Airport to Conference Venue
Frankfurt Airport has two train stations which are about 10 minutes walking distance apart (inside the airport!):
- Frankfurt Flughafen Regionalbahnhof (inside of Terminal 1):
S-Bahn or regional trains to Frankfurt City (cheapest option):
S8 or S9 (direction Offenbach or Hanau) from platform 1 to- Taunusanlage (closest S-Bahn station to the venue) + 20 minute walk
- Hauptwache + switch to subway to Holzhausenstraße + 5 minute walk subway lines from Hauptwache:
U1 (direction Ginnheim),
U2 (direction Bad Homburg),
U3 (direction Oberursel)
U8 (direction Riedberg)
- Frankfurt Flughafen Fernbahnhof (inside Terminal 1):
ICEs or ICs to Frankfurt Main Station (= Frankfurt(Main) Hbf) (more expensive but faster option):

By Train
Frankfurt has two large train station: Frankfurt Flughafen Fernbahnhof and Frankfurt Main Station (= Frankfurt(Main) Hbf). This is the best option if you travel long distance from another German city or other European country. At Frankfurt Main Station, you are directly in the city center. From there, you can also walk within 20-30 minutes to the conference venue.

By Car
Frankfurt is well connected and has many Autobahns leading to and through Frankfurt.
Please be aware that the entire city is considered a Umweltzone (“Environmental Zone”) which requires you to have a special green sticker on your car, which most diesel cars don’t have (unless refitted). For more information, see:

From Göttingen to Frankfurt on March 24th
If you would like to travel from Workshop I “(Universal) Paradigmatic Gaps” in Göttingen to Frankfurt, where the Main Colloquium and the Workshop II “Negation” take place, the best option for you is to travel on Monday, March 24th.
Göttingen and Frankfurt are well-connected by fast trains (ICE) within 2 hours. To look for connections, check the current schedule on bahn.de or install the app DB Navigator on your smartphone (highly recommended), where you can also buy tickets if you register. Consider buying your ticket early to get a cheaper option! We highly recommend to get a direct connection.
